The agreement

Troiana Signal (news.troiana.net) is published by Troiana Marketing Agency Sh.p.k., a company registered in Gjilan, Republic of Kosovo (business number NUI 812008755) and operating from Prishtina ("Troiana", "we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you don't accept them, please don't use the site. Our privacy policy forms part of this agreement.

Using the site

Reading is free and requires no account. In return, please don't:

• scrape, crawl or copy the site at a volume that degrades it for other readers, or bypass any rate limit or access control;
• attempt to gain access to the newsroom area, our servers, or any data that isn't published;
• use the site to break the law, harass anyone, or distribute malware;
• republish our articles wholesale (see below), or present them as your own work.

Automated access for training machine-learning models is not permitted without our written agreement.

Our content and your reuse

The articles, headlines, artwork, code and design on this site are ours (or our contributors') and are protected by copyright. The Troiana and Troiana Signal names and marks are ours.

What you may do without asking: quote a reasonable extract — a paragraph or two — for reporting, commentary, teaching or research, provided you credit Troiana Signal and link to the original article. Share links freely. Print a copy for your own use.

What needs permission: republishing a full article, translating one, putting our work behind your paywall, or using our artwork separately. Ask — we usually say yes: info@troiana.net.

How we use AI

We use AI tools in the newsroom — to monitor sources, research background and produce first drafts. Nothing is published automatically. Every story is reviewed, edited and fact-checked by a human editor before it goes live, and it carries a human byline that takes responsibility for it. Where an AI tool materially shaped a piece, we say so in the piece.

Editorial standards and corrections

We link our sources, separate reporting from analysis, and disclose commercial relationships relevant to a story — including work done by the Troiana studio. Our full standards are on the about page.

If we get something wrong, tell us and we'll fix it. Material corrections are noted on the story with the date they were made rather than edited away silently. Corrections: the contact form.

Tips, pitches and comments

When you send us a tip, a pitch or a draft, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to read it, act on it journalistically, and — if we agree to publish your contribution — to publish and archive it on this site with your credit. You confirm that what you send is yours to send and doesn't breach anyone else's rights or a confidentiality obligation you're bound by.

We can't promise to publish, reply to, or return every submission, and we may already be working on the same story independently.

The newsletter

Subscribing is opt-in and free. We send editorial email only — no rented lists, no selling your address. Every issue tells you how to unsubscribe, and you can also email us to be removed immediately.

Links and third parties

We link out constantly, because sourcing matters. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for what they publish or how they handle your data. A link is a citation, not an endorsement.

No professional advice

Our articles are journalism and commentary. They are not legal, financial, investment, tax or professional advice, and shouldn't be relied on as the basis for a decision without your own advice. Technology moves fast: a piece is accurate to the best of our knowledge on the date it was published.

Availability and warranties

We work to keep the site accurate and available, but we provide it "as is". We don't guarantee uninterrupted access, that every link will keep working, or that the site will be free of errors.

Liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss — including lost profit, lost data or business interruption — arising from your use of the site or reliance on anything published here. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Suspension

We may block access, remove a contribution, or withdraw newsletter access if these terms are broken — in particular for scraping, intrusion attempts or abuse of the forms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms; the date at the top shows when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, and the competent courts of Kosovo have jurisdiction over any dispute. If you're a consumer in a country whose law gives you additional protection, those rights aren't affected. If any clause is found unenforceable, the rest stands.
